However harsh it may sound, it still has to be said.  Healthcare will be the downfall of this country and it will be at the hands of the poor.  Sad as it sounds it is true.  The heathcare system will be abused and abused by people who are known to abuse things.  Poor people are poor for, most of the time, bad decisions that they have made over their lives and a lot of bad decisions are based around abuse. Be it drugs, alcohol, food, cigarettes, television, cell phone, and of course money.  Now when you give an entitlement to someone who abuses things, what happens to the entitlement? It most certainly gets abused.  Imagine our healthcare system overloaded with abusers?  “My back hurts, I need to go to the doctor” , “I have a headache, I need to have it checked out”, “Oh wow, I can get some vicodin because my back hurts! I’m going to the doctor”. Think about that!

Poor people are poor for a reason and it doesn’t have anything to do with them not having healthcare. Not one American is turned away from the hospital when the need care. They are poor because they lack the certain principles that education gives.  Principles like, stealing from someone could wind you up in jail.   Taking drugs may get you fired from your job.  Not paying my mortgage results in foreclosure.  Do you remember the sub-prime mortgage crisis?

The idealism of socialism lacks any  hint of practicality and will ultimately bring down any wealthy or free society.
