Part of life in any country is growing up and starting your own life.  Imagine if you weren’t allowed to leave home.  Your parents tell you that it’s too dangerous and you can’t do it on your own.   They take the responsibility of decision making away from you so that there is no possiblity you can make a mistake.  It would make a person feel completely helpless and, utlimately, useless.  The US government seems to believe that this is the best thing for you.   Every free person has the right to make mistakes, learn from them, and become stronger because of it.
